Using Camtasia, I created an animated texture track consisting of the a solid color alternating between 100% and 25% opacity. Why would I think such a random and curious thought? I wasn't thinking about Revit or Enscape but it was the act of doing nothing that created the random idea. While noticing all the detail, ornaments and lights (for no particular reason) I supposed that the lights would flicker in Enscape if mapped a solid animated texture. I was sitting quietly one morning and looking at the Christmas tree in the living room. I don't know why this is but I'm sure it's been studied as a psychological phenomenon!Īn idea out of nothing is exactly what happened the other day. It's always puzzled me that not thinking about an answer somehow creates the opportunity for the solution. Interesting workflow ideas and solutions to difficult problems have popped into my head out of nothing for over two decades working with Revit and many years of working with Enscape. When you're not thinking about how to solve the problem the solution often comes to you. ![]() Did you ever notice that when you're trying to solve a difficult problem it helps to step away and do nothing to get the answer?
